PartyCommit's role

PartyCommit provides group commitment pages, attendee and payment-status tracking, and records optional marketing preferences. Payment takes place through the event business's external checkout, booking system, or connected payment provider. PartyCommit may receive payment-status confirmations from a connected provider, but does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or guest bank credentials.

Business responsibilities

• Provide accurate event, capacity, deadline, price, location, and payment information.
• Manage events, attendee claims, payment verification, cancellations, and customer service responsibly.
• Use marketing contacts only through channels for which active consent was recorded.
• Honor email unsubscribe requests and SMS STOP requests, and comply with laws and platform rules applicable to the business's communications.
• Maintain any business-specific privacy policy or marketing terms appropriate for its practices.

Guest responsibilities

Guests should provide accurate claim information, claim only the seats they reasonably intend to use, and follow the host business's payment, cancellation, and event rules.

Marketing choices

Marketing consent is voluntary, separated by email and text channel, and is not a condition of claiming a spot or making a purchase. PartyCommit's current consent feature records permission and makes it available to the specific event business; it does not itself send marketing campaigns.

Availability and acceptable use

Users may not attempt to access another business's data, misuse attendee information, disrupt the service, submit fraudulent claims, or use PartyCommit for unlawful activity. Features may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security, or technical reasons.
